In March 2022, The Jockey Club pledged a new approach to playing our part in Newmarket’s future which began with a three-day exhibition at Newmarket Memorial Hall.
Despite being The Jockey Club’s home for almost three centuries, we felt it was important to become more involved in the conversation around what Newmarket’s residents, businesses and racing industry want and need to ensure a healthy, vibrant and prosperous future for all.
We presented some ideas to the community and racing industry partners to stimulate a discussion around how we can design the future of our town together.
We are now pleased to invite you to a follow-up drop-in event to demonstrate the progress that’s been made over the past 30 months, alongside partners at the Newmarket Charitable Foundation and the Active Travel team from Suffolk County Council.
We would also like to ask for your feedback on The Jockey Club’s proposals for new homes at Pinewood and a new Seven Springs Country Park, both of which feature in the West Suffolk Council Draft Local Plan.
You are invited to drop-in to view our exhibition and meet the team
